Description:
Dried oregano Leaves, are obtained from Oregano that grows in the Highlands of the Southern region of Peru. Because of the cold weather of these places, there are no blights. For this reason, farmers don’t need to use pesticides, and production is almost organic. As it could be considered an organic product, many producers have applied to obtain this certification.
After harvest, oregano leaves are dried under the sunlight, and this process has also been verified to accomplish Good Manufacture Practices (GMP). For example, laying the pods on plastic blankets and verifying the absence of animals.
Then these oregano leaves are selected and cleaned. All impurities, such as, sprouts, dust, little stones, and insects are removed with a shaking and air system machine, and all metals are removed with a magnet system device. Finally, oregano is packed in paper bags. During all the different processes, Good Manufacture Practices are applied.
