Description:
The Giant White Maize Corn on the cob is also known as Imperial Maize on the cob or Cuzco Maize on the cob. It is exclusively grown in the Andean Mountains of Peru, in a place called The Sacred Valley of the Incas in Urubamba, Cuzco, Peru. The size of this maize cob varies from 15 to 20 cm in length. It is known for its exceptional big size with circular flan and floury soft texture shape of its kernels. It is also rich in proteins, starches and sugars. After the harvest, it is disinfected and then classified, calibrated, frozen and packed for export. The whole process is carried out under an adequate quality and sanitary control. As homogenous food, it fits for human consumption. It is a GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) free product that has neither artificial colors nor preservatives; it is a fat free product without impurities. Sanitary standards, frozen level, hygiene, microorganism and pesticide control has met export inspections standards.
